IMIF 42nd Annual Dinner & Seminar
The Radisson Blu Portman Hotel
In Association with Maritime London
IMIF would like to thank The Rt Hon John Hayes CBE MP, The Minister of State for Transport Legislation for attending as our keynote speaker. We would also like to thank Otto Norland, one of our founding members for his speech on the start-up of IMIF and some key milestones.
225 guests attended the IMIF Dinner, and I am pleased to announce we raised over £1500 for our chosen charity; The Maritime London Officer Cadet Scholarship (MLOCS), which is a charity that provides the funds to enable young people to undertake the training required to become a Merchant Navy deck, engine or electro-technical officer. Thank you all for your generous donations.
As usual, there was a table quiz, and this year, the prize went to Table 2 headed by Jeremy Penn.
The dinner followed a Seminar on “The Effect of ecommerce in Shipping” attended by over 60 delegates, with the panel consisting of Julian Clark, Global Head of Shipping, Hill Dickinson LLP, Søren Meyer, Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer, Maersk Tankers, Nicholas Berry, Partner, Norton Rose Fulbright LLP and James Johnston, Senior Dry Analyst, Braemar ACM.
